Spending Spree

Home » Reading » Spending Spree

In: Reading on: March 10, 2022

I received a few Amazon cards for my birthday recently, and while I did spend part of those on a new lap desk for my office, the rest I dedicated to books! And not just any books. Recent releases I feared I wouldn’t get to for awhile unless I owned them.

Want to know what I bought—which is essentially a preview of some of what I’ll be reading over the next couple of months?

Here you go!

The London House by Katherine Reay

I love Katherine’s books and The London House got me with its title alone!

The Debutante’s Code by Erica Vetsch

I adore Erica’s books, but I’m especially looking forward to this one as it is a Regency spy novel! Yay!

Let It Be Me by Becky Wade

This is #2 in the Misty River series which release a while back, but when I read Becky’s Christmas novella set in Misty River I realized I’d missed this book! Since #3 will release soon, I wanted to get to this one!

Sunrise by Susan May Warren

The start of a new series! Oh how that makes my heart happy! Of course I will read it too quickly and be left waiting until the next release date, but still.

The Siren of Sussex by Mimi Matthews

Usually I snap up Mimi’s books the minute they release, but this is her first traditionally published one so it was a bit more expensive. But I have it now! I’ve actually just started it and was so excited to meet up with some characters I already know from her Parish Orphans series!

Safely Home by Randy Alcorn

Okay, so this isn’t a new release, but somehow I never got around to reading it. The best news? It’s on sale all month in its kindle version for $1.99! Now that I have it I feel sure I’ll get to it soon.

The really fun part? I still have some birthday funds left in my account, so I can add a few more.

So yes, lots of fun stuff on my reading list. But it’s also a bit overwhelming to try to choose what to read next!

Is there a book you already own (or are about to buy or borrow) that you are most excited to read?

"The Work of His Hands: a novelette”

Bea wants nothing more than to go to college and learn more about the world God created. Her mother even left money in trust for her to do so. She only wishes her father supported her dream. Can she trust the God of creation to make something beautiful of her life?”

Along with the story you’ll receive my newsletter updates as well.
