New Weekly Feature Debuting Tomorrow!

Home » Reading » New Weekly Feature Debuting Tomorrow!

In: Reading, Uncategorized on: October 3, 2013

I consider myself a reader first, a writer second. I guess for that reason, although I love talking writing with other writers, I really, really love talking books with other readers. In fact, connecting with those who read has been my favorite part of being published! Since I don’t belong to a book club, I often look to these people to chat about books. So I got to thinking, maybe it would be fun to introduce readers to one another here on my blog!

Tomorrow we’ll kick off a new weekly feature called Portrait of a Reader. Each Friday a reader will answer a few questions about what they read, when they read, how they read, etc. These are regular people. Not writers. Not professional bloggers who review books. Just people who love the written word in any form and continue to make it a part of their lives.

I hope these interviews will introduce you to some new books, new authors, and new friends. Don’t hesitate to interact with the interviewees. They are just people like you and me that love to read. Consider this a discussion forum for readers. I don’t know about you, but that thought excites me. For whether you’ve ever read my books or not, if you read any books, then we are kindred spirits.

See you tomorrow!

"The Work of His Hands: a novelette”

Bea wants nothing more than to go to college and learn more about the world God created. Her mother even left money in trust for her to do so. She only wishes her father supported her dream. But when Papa gets into financial trouble in the young town of Fort Worth, Texas, Bea must decide what is more important—her education or her father's well-being. Can she trust the God of creation to make something beautiful of her life?”

Along with the story you’ll receive my newsletter updates as well.
