Six Weeks!

Home » Reading » Six Weeks!

In: Reading, Uncategorized on: August 1, 2013

A Home for My Heart releases 6 weeks from Sunday! You’d think since this is the third time I’ve been through a book release it would have lost its novelty. Au contraire! Actually, it’s the first book release I feel somewhat prepared for! The first, I was a deer in the headlights, frozen and fearful. The second time, immobilized by a third book that was giving me fits in the writing. But this time! This time I have hopeful excitement!

A Home for My Heart has some amazing endorsements from authors I admire and respect. They’ll be appearing on my Books page and on Pinterest in the month leading up to the release. I also have some historical blog posts planned starting next week. I’ll populate my A Home For My Heart Pinterest board with historic photos through the next few weeks as well. Some book signings and speaking engagements already set, so watch for my event announcements. And I’m excited to participate in an online scavenger hunt this fall with about 30 other authors, so look for upcoming info on that, too. There will be some blog visits with giveaways, a Goodreads giveaway, and a Book Banter live chat on Facebook! But most of all I’m excited about this story, introducing Sadie and Blaine, Mrs. Fore and Miranda and the children to those who’ve enjoyed my other books and to new-to-me readers as well.

Be sure you add your email address to my newsletter signup box on the sidebar so that you can be apprised of every up and coming event for A Home for My Heart as well as to get a sneak preview in early 2014 of the cover for my next release! And if you have a book club that chooses to read A Home for My Heart or any of my other books, be sure to let me know! I’d be happy to Skype in and answer questions or even travel to be with you in person, depending on location and dates.

I hope you are getting as excited as I am! And if you are near to any of my public events, come by and say hi! I’d love to meet you!

"The Work of His Hands: a novelette”

Bea wants nothing more than to go to college and learn more about the world God created. Her mother even left money in trust for her to do so. She only wishes her father supported her dream. But when Papa gets into financial trouble in the young town of Fort Worth, Texas, Bea must decide what is more important—her education or her father's well-being. Can she trust the God of creation to make something beautiful of her life?”

Along with the story you’ll receive my newsletter updates as well.
