We LOVED our trip to Savannah and St. Simons Island (with a quick stop at Jekyll Island!) I think part of it was that after 25 years of marriage we’ve finally learned how to travel together. (Yes, we are slow learners sometimes!) I’ve learned to let him plan. He’s learned to build in rest time (including mornings!) Both of us have learned to let go of our own agendas and defer to the other’s desires.
Anyway, here are a few of the highlights of our trip.
While we enjoyed our time away, we are also glad to be home again, recharged, reconnected, and ready to dive back in to the work the Lord has given each of us to do.

Oh, I love the photos from your trip! You look beautiful and happy and full of life. Thanks for sharing these with us! Happy anniversary!
Anne
Thanks, sweet Jana! It’s so nice to still enjoy time spent together after 25 years! Can’t wait to see you! 🙂

Anne, I’ve been to Savannah and St. Simon’s Island twice; Jekyll Island once. These pictures make me want to go back sooo much.
I’m currently re-reading (again), Celia Garth by Gwen Bristoe. Wonderful Revolutionary War novel that takes place in Charleston. Have you been there? It makes me want to go back there too! As I’m reading I keep stopping to look up all the houses and streets mentioned in this book on Google maps, street view. I do that all the time when reading books that take place in real locations that are still standing today.

Oh, Sylvia! Sounds like you enjoyed them as much as we did! We made a quick drive through Jekyll Island on our way to the airport and so want to go back. We haven’t been to Charleston, but it is still high on my list of places I want to visit. I’ll have to look for the novel you mentioned. I love Revolutionary War novels!
