What a trip!
My daughter and I saw 5 apartments on Thursday and at the end of the day, the choice was quite clear, so that was good. We put the money down and will sign the lease when we arrive there in a couple of weeks. Woo-hoo!!! It’s very secure and well-kept and the best part? It’s right next store to the campus where she’ll have at least half of her classes! God is good! Here are a few pictures we took:
We also enjoyed visiting with my sister-in-law’s family during our stay. They hadn’t seen Elizabeth in 5 years! We also got to meet her niece, who we hadn’t seen since she and Elizabeth were flower girls in my sister-in-law’s wedding 17 years ago. The niece will be in med school in Philly this fall, so the girls will be fairly close by and they already have several interests in common. And we had lunch with my sweet friend Jennifer and meet her husband and her new baby. So amazing, since I’d prayed for years for the Lord to bring just the right man across her path.
All in all, it was a great trip, just me and my girl. She is a joy to travel with, even in the most stressful of moments–like trying to figure out where to return the rental car at 5am! I’m so excited for her to begin this new chapter in her life.
