Many of you have downloaded and read my novelette, The Work of His Hands. When I wrote it and was ready to give it to you, I didn’t want to pay a cover designer. I tried to do it myself with a combo of AI and Canva. The result was very underwhelming, but it was all I had.

Recently, I learned some things about cover creation with AI and Canva, and I put that new knowledge to the test! (Thank you, Grace Hitchcock!) The result? What I believe to be a much better cover! Do you agree?

New cover is very very good!
Thanks! I’m so thankful to have learned a few helpful tips!
I love it.
Yay!!!
Lovely cover on all levels! I have font envy!
Ha! I did think those fonts were particularly wonderful. I’m glad you like it!
Gorgeous fonts! Especially the ones for your name. BTW…. thank you for the generous shout-outs in your newsletter! I’m looking forward to your next novel 🙂
Thank you!
Yes the new cover is more effective.
Thanks! I thought it turned out better. 🙂
I like the new cover. Thanks for the novelette.
Of course! I hope you enjoy it!
I like the corner scrolling. The cover makes me think of Big Bend or west of Wichita Falls. It’s easier to see the stars.
I love the corner scrolling, too!
It’s beautiful!
Thanks!
I love the softness of the new cover. The colors are wonderful!
They are so much better than my first try!
