Hidden Riches Available!

Home » Reading » Hidden Riches Available!

In: Reading, Writing on: November 9, 2022

I’m so excited to share with you that my book Hidden Riches, part of the Secrets From Grandma’s Attic series, is now available! I thought I’d answer some questions about purchasing the book and give you the official blurb.

  1. Where can I buy your book?

This book is only available through the Guideposts website. Here’s a link to get you to the page: bit.ly/HRbyDM

2. I only read ebooks. Can I still buy the book?

Yes! You can purchase either an ePUB or PDF version on the Guideposts website. bit.ly/HRbyDM

3. Do I need to read the other books in the series to enjoy this one?

No! While the main characters are the same throughout the series, each mystery is self-contained. Pick one or read them all, doesn’t matter.

4. Are all the books formatted the same?

No. Each other chooses how much of the story to tell in present day vs. historical era. Mine just happen to be dual timeline stories so that you get the full history of the mystery, so to speak!

5. Are all the historical parts of the mystery set in the same time period?

No. The historical time periods of the mysteries range from early 1900s to the 1960s. At least so far!

If you want to know more about Hidden Riches, here’s the back cover copy from the book:

While helping her sister update one of the rooms in Grandma Pearl’s house, Amy Allen discovers a secret staircase hidden behind the wall. She and Tracy expect the staircase to lead to the attic once again, but are surprised to find a secret room instead. Inside they find a drafting table, mysterious sketches, and an antique locket with photographs of a little girl and boy inside. Whose belongings are these? And why are hidden away?

As Amy researches the Depression years in Canton and begins to piece together the connections between the desk, the sketches, the locket, and Grandma Pearl’s life in 1933, she is reminded that she is not the only one to ever question whether God will provide. In a financial bind herself, Amy has been struggling to keep her family afloat on her own. But perhaps she will learn that God’s provisions can come in the most mysterious of ways.

I hope you enjoy read the story as much as I enjoyed writing it!

And don’t forget—I’m giving away a copy of this book in each of my next two newsletters! The winner might be you! So if you haven’t signed up for my newsletter, do that now! www.dmateer.com/sign-up/
