Just when I thought things couldn’t get much worse (last week was an incredibly emotional week) . . .

Kablam!

I got rear-ended today.

The repair is estimated to take 2-3 weeks.

And I still haven’t finished my Christmas shopping!

oh…. so sorry for this. being hit is never just a physical thing… somehow it touches our emotions too. I hope you also mend soon.

    D’Ann,
Ouch! Repairs taking 2-3 weeks means it was more than just a love-tap on the back bumper. I hope both your body and your psyche are OK. Being in an accident is always bad, doubly so if it happens at a busy time, triply so if you’re already stressed.
Here’s my prescription: 1) gift certificates wherever possible, 2) a long, hot soak with scented candles, soft music, a good book, 3) hug your family and rejoice that you’re able to do it.
Have (insomuch as possible) a wonderful Christmas.

Thanks, y’all, for all your encouragment and sympathy! Fortunately, the other person’s insurance company has been soooo nice! I pick up my rent car on the day after Christmas for the duration.

And in spite of all the inconvenience, I am so grateful that we are all okay!

"The Work of His Hands: a novelette”

Bea wants nothing more than to go to college and learn more about the world God created. Her mother even left money in trust for her to do so. She only wishes her father supported her dream. But when Papa gets into financial trouble in the young town of Fort Worth, Texas, Bea must decide what is more important—her education or her father's well-being. Can she trust the God of creation to make something beautiful of her life?”
