I try to keep new releases on my radar. A few I will go so far as to pre-order, but most, I simply watch and wait. So what am I looking forward to reading in 2026? Here are just a few:
North-East-West-South by Susan May Warren

This surprise series—she didn’t announce it until the first book, North, released last week—will involve the tracking down of the spy-turned-Russian-mob-operative Alan Martin, the bad guy who has created havoc in so many of Susie’s series! The first book started us with a bang. The next three books will release this year, with East, book 2, coming out the first week of March if you order it from susanmaywarren.com. If you wait for the Amazon release of each book, it’s a couple of weeks after the release on her website!
Taming Lady Temperence by Karen Witemeyer
Pre-ordered this one! Can a temperance activist and the local deputy find common ground? Karen always spins a great tale—and always set in Texas in the 1800s, so this should be fun! Releases February 17!
Into a Golden Era by Gabrielle Meyer
Book 7 in the Timeless series—which, if you haven’t read, you should! This one is pre-ordered in book form, because I keep them. This one will travel between the Gold Rush and the Golden Age of Hollywood. Releases May 5!
A Brewed Awakening by Pepper Basham
Contemporary rom-com. A tea room owner’s quaint and quiet world is upended by a pub-owning, coffee-loving Brit in a small North Carolina town. Sounds fabulous! Releases May 5!
Spies, Lies, and Alabis by Natalie Walters
Usually, Natalie writes more serious romantic suspense, which I don’t read (except for Susie May!), but this book will be rom-com romantic suspense! Can’t. Wait. Another of my pre-orders. Coming May 19!
The Burning Side by Sarah Damoff
I loved Sarah’s debut novel, The Bright Years, so I’m looking forward to another emotional family drama from her. This one looks great. Releases June 16!
The Pirate Queen by Ariel Lawhon
I adore Ariel’s books! This one is based on 16th-century Irish pirate Grace O’Malley. Doesn’t that sound wonderful? Releases September 8!
In These Hills by Tamera Alexander
Finally, another historical by Tammy! Early 1900s, Tennessee. Been waiting for a new story by her for a while now. Coming in September!
Pride & Practicality by Pepper Basham
Regency rom-com. Need I say more? Available in November!
Are there new releases you are anticipating that I’ve missed in this list? Please share so we can all be watching for them, too!
