Quote from A Praying Life

Home » Faith » Quote from A Praying Life

In: Faith, Uncategorized on: March 22, 2013

One of the things I’ve learned to enjoy about reading on my kindle is that I can highlight as I read then I can copy and paste the entire list of highlighted portions from the book into a document. (I use a note in Evernote for this.) I love this because I can look back and find the passages that spoke to me without thumbing through the pages and missing what I was looking for. Anyway, as I’ve reviewed some of my highlights, I thought it would be fun to share with you an occasional quote from a good book. I hope you enjoy them.

Beautiful! I love my intimacy with my Savior! Connection happens any & everywhere!

Yes. And I love that this quote reminds me it isn’t about discipline, it’s about relationship. Sometimes disciplining myself to do something feels so much easier than intimacy.

"The Work of His Hands: a novelette”

Bea wants nothing more than to go to college and learn more about the world God created. Her mother even left money in trust for her to do so. She only wishes her father supported her dream. But when Papa gets into financial trouble in the young town of Fort Worth, Texas, Bea must decide what is more important—her education or her father's well-being. Can she trust the God of creation to make something beautiful of her life?”
