Great Reads

Home » Reading » Great Reads

In: Reading, Uncategorized on: April 13, 2015

I read a lot in the month of March. April’s not looking so good, but that’s ok. Vacation is coming! And for hubby and I, vacation=lots of reading time. For now, here are a few of the great books I’ve finished in the past few weeks. (Click on the cover to go to a buy link!):

A Lady's Honor by Laurie Alice Eakes

I have enjoyed all of Laurie Alice’s books, but this one is my new favorite. Definitely historical romantic suspense-and set on the cliffs in Cornwall, England. So excited to already have the second book in this series, A Stranger’s Secret, on my shelf!

Three Little Words

This FREE e-novella bridges Melissa’s last book with the start of her new series. I love Melissa’s voice and books haven’t yet failed to satisfy! Can’t wait to read her recently released From the Start.

Always on My Mind Susan May Warren

I will SO miss the Christensen family when this series ends! Maybe they hit home because I have my own slew of young adult children trying to find their way in love and life. I’ve loved every book–and this was no exception! Can’t wait for the next one!

Joy for Beginners

I had read Erica Bauermeister’s The School of Essential Ingredients  a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. So Joy for Beginners had been on my wish list. Then I found it–in hardcover!–at Dollar Tree. For a dollar! I snatched it up and am so glad I did. I loved the story of a group of friends each facing one of their fears.

The Princess and the Goblin

Another FREE ebook–and this one’s a classic. Love George MacDonald, and it had been years since I’d read this. A great fairytale. Looking forward to The Princess and Curdie, the sequel. Also a FREE ebook!

So there you go! Great reads to add to your reading list if you haven’t already! And as always, I’d love to hear what books have touched your heart recently so I can add those to my unending “to read” list!

"The Work of His Hands: a novelette”

Bea wants nothing more than to go to college and learn more about the world God created. Her mother even left money in trust for her to do so. She only wishes her father supported her dream. But when Papa gets into financial trouble in the young town of Fort Worth, Texas, Bea must decide what is more important—her education or her father's well-being. Can she trust the God of creation to make something beautiful of her life?”

Along with the story you’ll receive my newsletter updates as well.
