A Scrapbook of Motherhood Firsts

Home » Life » A Scrapbook of Motherhood Firsts

In: Life, Reading, Uncategorized on: May 3, 2012

Yes, you get a bonus post this week! Aren’t you excited?

Yesterday, I highlighted my critique partner Mary’s book. Our other critique partner is Leslie Wilson. She, along with Trish Berg, Terra Hangen, Cathy Messecar, and Karen Robbins, have put together a lovely little book that has released just in time for Mother’s Day!

A Scrapbook of Motherhood Firsts: Stories to Celebrate and Wisdom to Bless Moms follows on their heels of this group’s other title A Scrapbook of Christmas Firsts: Stories to Warm Your Heart and Tips to Simplify Your Holidays. These are lovely gift books printed with color pages and filled with heartwarming and humorous stories, practical tips, and yummy recipes. The “scrapbook” theme in each book makes the reader feel as if the authors have created such a book just for her. Every mom–from new mom to great-grandmother–will enjoy this celebration of motherhood and all the “firsts” that come along at every stage along the journey.

"The Work of His Hands: a novelette”

Bea wants nothing more than to go to college and learn more about the world God created. Her mother even left money in trust for her to do so. She only wishes her father supported her dream. But when Papa gets into financial trouble in the young town of Fort Worth, Texas, Bea must decide what is more important—her education or her father's well-being. Can she trust the God of creation to make something beautiful of her life?”

Along with the story you’ll receive my newsletter updates as well.
